When hiring a window/door company make sure to research the company you are considering, if you have rot or other problems you must have a CGC (Certified General Contractor), a CBD (Certified Building Contractor), or a CRC (Certified Residential Contractor) to do the work. If they are SCC, they only have a County license; they are able to change out windows, but they are not licensed to perform other tasks that may arise.
